NORTH RAS QATTARA EXPLORATION LEASE, EGYPT
The North Ras Qattara Concession (NRQ) is located in the Western Desert, one of the most prolific regions in Egypt. It was awarded to IPR Transoil Corporation (IPRTOC) in April 1998 and was converted to a Development lease in 2006 after a successful discovery. The license operates under the Egyptian Production Sharing Agreement and is located just south of the Mediterranean Sea.
The Concession lies within the Alamein Basin where many oil fields were discovered. These fields are Alamein, Yidma, Tarfa, Razzak, North Razzak, West Razzak, Aghar, Horus, Burg El Arab, El Goura and Akik oil fields. IPRTOC’s latest 3D seismic programs have identified multiple target prospects from the shallow AR "G" to the deep Jurassic formations. This developed lease is valid through 2026 with provisions for extension.
